NEW! Lightweight 56mm ducted fan for small jets

56mm rotor diameter, 73mm outside diameter, plastic tube is 42mm long, 76.3mm overall length when assembled. Accepts up to 20mm diameter motor with screw mount spacing of 16mm and is suitable for the (SFM4700), 4700 Kv brushless inrunner motor. Inlet nacelle has a 20mm depth, is 73mm wide with a 52mm opening. Comes with plastic impeller impregnated with carbon fibers, aluminum spinner, motor mounting screws and inlet ring. Shaft diameter for fan is 2.3mm. Using the suggested motor, this fan will produce approximately 15 oz. of thrust using a 3 cell 11.1V LiPoly battery at 16 amps.

66mm (2-9/16") inside diameter, 60mm (2-3/8") long with inlet ring, 81mm (3-3/16") outside diameter with inlet ring, 68mm (2-11/16") outside diameter without inlet ring. Accepts up to a 29mm diameter motor with a screw mount spacing of 16mm and a shaft size of 2.3mm. Weighs 1.4 oz. Impeller has 6 blades; when used with brushless motor MT2235 three blades should be removed making it a 3-bladed impeller.

Designed for standard Speed 300 power this improved design now produces 6.7 oz. thrust - almost an ounce more thrust with a Speed 300 on 7 cells than the earlier version did on 8 cells. This makes for a lighter model and better performance. Even greater power can be achieved with a brushless motor. Will accept a motor of up to 25mm diameter. Alfa Ducted Fans for more powerful brushless motors

59mm rotor diameter, 61mm outside diameter, carbon tube is 50mm long, 87mm overall length when assembled. Weighs 30 grams without motor. Designed for motor with 200W input. The fan can power models up to 21 ounces maximum weight. Will accept a motor of up to 25mm diameter. The rotor is drilled for a 2mm motor shaft (rotors for other shaft sizes available separately). The static thrust measurements with this fan are dramatically higher than with the EDF 60/15. This power comes at a cost: the higher currents (20-22 amps) require the use of larger speed controls (30 amp recommended) and Lipo batteries suitable to this amp load.

It is possible to use this ducted fan in models which weigh up to 3 times more than the thrust (30 oz. airplane), however, the optimal ratio between thrust and total airplane weight is 2:1. This would be an airplane that weighed 20 oz. Duct and fan blades are made of rigid woven carbon fiber. Motor housing and stators are made of one continuous piece of woven carbon fiber for added strength. Length is 75mm (2.95"), Outside diameter is 66mm (2.60"), Inside diameter is 65mm (2.56"). Weight without motor is 35 grams.
